Should I stay or go?

I've been with Verizon wireless for almost 20 years! Yes, I said 20. It seems like no matter what I do or don't do there's always a problem with something with Verizon. And when you look at other comparable plans out there Verizon's really not offering us much more than the others like they want us to believe. I want to hear from people who have gone out there and tried something else and maybe came back or didn't come back and why or why not because I'm really ready to leave the 3-hour long phone conversations behind me and move on. What they tell me I'm paying and what I'm paying always going to be in two different things. But I got to be honest it's going to take a lot to convince me.

I am thinking of leaving also. There are other mobile companies willing to do a lil now it seems. When I ever ask for a manger, the answer is we don't have one. And the transfers to departments that can never help you cause its not in their expertise.

You should stay in Verizon, because you have answer over 20 years in VZW.

My .02 on this is it really depends on your situation. It's a competitive industry, and Verizon's large competitors will charge in about the same ballpark for postpaid service as Verizon. The promos I've seen elsewhere are about the same and have the same fine print. CS with all the big carriers is outsourced, and my boss who uses one of the other big guys is constantly complaining about how he's yelling at his phone company's AI bot and getting nowhere. I used the other large competitor, and when I called their CS, got someone overseas who could barely understand what I was trying to explain and the only thing they kept on repeating was, "I'm going to make sure you don't go to collections."

If your service here is good but you are having trouble with the bills, I'd suggest switching to prepaid service as that's cheaper, although the downside is you will be deprioritized to all postpaid customers on the network, so your device won't be on the nearest tower to you.

My experience at a large competitor lasted less than a week before I came back because the other guy, despite having a number of towers close to me, had horrible service for some reason. But they obviously work for others, or they wouldn't still be in business, so your mileage may vary.

From using a 3rd party budget carrier in the past, I can attest that cell phone service is often like many other things in life: you usually get what you pay for. (Except for the port out to the large competitor, where I was paying more for a postpaid plan, and it was worse than Verizon Prepaid for me.)
