Add Pmt Card Error Zip Code

I am trying to add a new debit card as my auto pay method, but I keep getting:

Error: Zip code information entered is invalid, please enter Valid Zip code.

I spent over an hour yesterday at my local Verizon store and they tried everything that they knew to do. They finally got someone on the phone at Verizon who said they "fixed" the problem, but we had to wait 24 hours before adding the card information again. The person on the phone also said they would call me today when it had been 24 hours and walk me through the process - he did NOT call.

I've tried once again to enter the information today (after the 24 hours) and still get the same Zip Code error message. Please help!!

Did the Verizon reps shut off your autopay, and remove all stored payment methods in your account, before trying to re-enter the debit card information and then turning back on the autopay? If that isn't working either, then my guess is Verizon just isn't accepting the debit card as a means for autopay.

I got a new debit card and tried to change my auto pay to the new card. Auto pay was turned off and all old payment methods were removed. Still would not accept my new debit card- Error: Zip Code.... When I tried to use another credit card, I got the same message - Error: Zip Code...!?

- calling customer support whose answer was "maybe Verizon just doesn't accept your card"

- spent an hour in my local store while the sales rep tried to resolve the problem, then they got someone on the phone to help, they said it would be ok in 24 hours, which of course it was not

-tested using a different credit card and received the same error message

I need help!!

Verizon: can someone please message me and get this resolved?

We certainly don't want to give you the run around this and are happy to help! I know that you mentioned getting a new debit card, did you already confirm with your bank that the information regarding your zip code remains unchanged?

Yes, we went to the bank and confirmed that the address and zip are correct. Verizon has my address and zip the same. I see that LOTS of other folks have had similar issues. Surely Verizon has figured out how to resolve this by now.
