Why do I have 2 IP Addresses when connecting my VPN Router, Asus RT-AX86U Pro, to Verizon's Gateway model ARC-XCI55AX in IP Passthrough mode?
Is there a setting within Verizon's Gateway to eliminate the IP address for the Gateway?
One of the IP address is for my VPN's public IP address. The 2nd IP Address appears to be Verizon's Gateway which defeats the purpose of using a VPN. The whole purpose of using a Virtual Private Network is security. One of the main reason's that I went with Verizon was their gateway had a passthrough mode. I've done some searching on the Internet, but most of what I found were issues with employer's VPN not someone using an OpenVPN configuration file connected to their own router.
Thanks for your help!
