Unable to clear device activation pending on number.

I upgraded a phone credited to one number but transferred to and activated on another number on the same account. Device is working fine. However, the original number the upgrade is still showing pending device activation. I spoke to five different people, the last person says I have to wait 30 days. I can’t make any other adjustments to that account. I’m trying to add a second number on that line as well and can’t until the activation request is cleared. What is going on?

I have utilized chat assistance services with many different companies, and Verizon chat is by the slowest and worst I have ever dealt with in my life. It took 10 days, serveral and several hours, at least 6 chat threads, and I even broke down and called once to get my daughter’s phone operational. I was about to give up and go to the store, and on my finally attempt before admitting defeat the chat representative did what no one else could do with less time than any other unsuccessful chats. They were very accommodating at compensating with bill credits. Onetime $40 credit adjustment, and an additional $20 monthly discount for 12 months
