Correct ip location

I moved with my 5G Home Internet from the 28363 zip code to the 29466 zip code but my box still connects thru the old area, Charlotte, NC vs Charleston, SC. Verizon support has been unable to correct this so I still only get local news, weather, etc. from Charlotte instead of Charleston. I have rebooted the box and updated the gateway in the My Verizon Mobile App with no results. How can this be corrected?

I thought the home internet gateways were tied to the original address the service was obtained. Also, the IP addresses float, which can cause users to get "local" news from out of state in some instances.

Verizon advertises that if we move to another location that they serve we can take our 5G Home Internet with us. But to get local news at my new address I have to leave Verizon to start over? They have no trouble getting the bill to our new address. Maybe we could pretend to be a new customer? Seems like it would be much easier to update my IP address.
