I bought a brand new a16 Samsung galaxy from Walmart and today is the second day I've trade to activate a prepaid account and have been met with problem after problem when this is a brand new device I should not have this dilemma
Are you an existing Verizon prepaid customer, and trying to switch out your old phone with the A16? I've read elsewhere in the forums that for some reason, you have to go to a store for someone to activate a prepaid device. Trying to use the "switch device" feature in a prepaid account doesn't work. Why? Don't know…
Did you check that the A16 isn't locked to some other carrier? If it is locked to someone else, I'd return the phone and get a refund.
If you are new to Verizon, I'd call Prepaid CS (info below) using a different phone, or visit a Verizon store.
