Here are directions based on the Cloud Service you may have:
Contacts-Only Accounts:
If you are on the Free Cloud Version, and have Android 8.0+, you can open App Settings on the device itself, and in Notifications for Cloud App toggle off the ones you do not want.
Premium Cloud Accounts:
Open the Cloud App and look in Settings -> Notifications. You can turn off notification alerts in the Notification Manager section. You will still get Message Center messages as they can not be deleted by a user, but you can choose not to see the alerts about them, as well as not open that area. Message Center messages have an expiration date defined in the system, and will auto-remove once done.
On most devices (Android 8.0+) you may also set “App Badging” which is that small dot that appears on the App Icon letting you know you have a pending unread message or alert.
If the above steps fail, you can email the Verizon Cloud support team (vzw.verizon.cloud@verizonwireless .com), Visit a Verizon store and file an AYS ticket or go online and submit an instabug (Luciq) for us to take a more in-depth look at the issue.
