It all started with a bath…Filling up my tub and wanting to have a relaxing afternoon. Then my phone decided to try to escape life but jumping off the counter onto the floor. It hit just the right (actual right corner) and BOOM!, flashing green and a big black blob.
Got on my earbuds and had the assistant call VZW CS. A nice person came on named Aiden and we started the process. I asked if I could just use my old phone for a bit until I get the replacement. Should have been no big.
Wrong…
I forgot my old phone's PIN and had to try to contact my friend to see if she remembered. Ha…She didn't even get my chats.
So Aiden walked me through how to reset the phone in hopes it would bypass the issue. We got sooooooo close and the 2 step verification (Google) kept looping me over and over.
I would put in the email. Then the code would come to my phone which i had to read on my watch. Then it would keep sending me back to the same steps at least 40 times. I was very GRRRRRRRR…. I cursed a few times (and apologized).
Finally, I got the PIN from my friend and got into the phone (after over an hour). He took me through trying to activate…Guess what. Didn't work.
After more frustration he helped me to get through to Asurion because I can't interact on my screen. Only Watch and Earbuds.
He helped me reset my PIN and all was going well.
So… Thank you CS Aiden. You hung in there with me while I was losing my mind with many many verifications and workarounds to get this to happen.
You should treat yourself to a nice meal or a movie. You did a great job!
Verizon… give that guy a HUGE bonus. It was definitely a call worth using in training.
New phone coming tomorrow. Whew.
