Why am I no longer seeing a specific number in my message logs?
Are these texts or phone calls? If a certain caller's number is no longer appearing on your logs, then that person is blocking their number from being transmitted via Caller ID. If a certain person who texts you regularly is no longer showing up in the texting logs, then the most likely cause is that they've switched their texts to RCS or iMessage format. Modern texting (anything which is not SMS/MMS) is encrypted and uses data, so those texts go into the data logs. The texting logs only show the older format SMS and MMS texts.
