I recently got a phone from my friend who just bought it its a TCL 50LE and it will not let me activate the phone without getting a plan its just a phone i wanted to just use on the internet. it will nt give me any option to skip and set up via wifi.

I've heard of that happening with a different brand of phone, but if yours is doing the same thing, then there won't be a way to get around that activation screen, unless an internet search elsewhere brings up something for you to try.
