So, my one phone has been. Paid off for years and I brought it to Straight Talk and it's locked? How donI fix this quickly?
Just an FYI, I'd change your forum username because your current one is a privacy and spam risk.
If your phone is very old, it would predate the current Verizon device unlocking policy which states that the phone must be used on Verizon for at least 60 days and then automatically unlocks. I think this current policy was put into place around 2019. What Verizon did to unlock phones prior to then, can't say. Your best bet since the CSRs aren't using the forums currently would be to either use the "Contact Us" link at the top of the forum page, or if you have any social media channels, to contact Verizon via social media.
I've also read of numerous instances where a phone won't automatically unlock because it was purchased at a 3rd party retailer instead of Verizon and the purchase is therefore not directly tied to your Verizon account. You would need plenty of proof of legitimate purchase and also be the original owner of the device to have a chance of getting it unlocked in this situation.
