have been with Verizon since 2002. My wife broke her phone and went to the store to get a new one. She was told there was a problem with our account and would have to contact customer service. I contacted customer service and they did not see any problems. I decided to try and upgrade my phone online and went through the whole process. At the end it gave a message that said “Your credit score doesn't qualify for a monthly payment plan with Verizon.
Please call Customer Service at 800-922-0204 to learn if there might be other options available to you.”
I checked my credit score online and have an 800 credit score.
I called customer service back and spoke with someone else. They looked back at my account all the way back to 2002. Everything on their side looked good and they said they could override it. I tried again and got the same message. They said my account showed a write off. They could not tell me from who or what. My credit report does not show anything.
They informed me I have a $10,000 credit limit with them with $8800 open.
My account has always been on autopay and all agents confirmed my account with Verizon was perfect.
I even called Asurian insurance as I didn’t return an old phone that was broke. They confirmed they billed my credit card for that and I don’t owe them anything.
The agents said they can process my order through the phone but I want my account to be where I can order online without dealing with anyone and be assured I don’t know anyone. I value my credit.
Any help would be appreciated.
