II applied for the military discount and was verified. However it was never applied to the account. How would I go about trying to get it put on the account? It will not let me reverify again.

Do you have some other discount already, or you're currently under contract for something like "get a device", a trade-in promotion, or something similar? If so, that's why the military discount isn't working, because discounts and promotions aren't stackable. Someone at Verizon can swap out your discounts, but I'd be very careful with that, because the move cannot be undone and you don't want to accidentally break a contract or end up with a lesser discount.
