I am posting here because I am beyond frustrated at this point.
As a new Verizon customer, I have already had multiple issues trying to receive and use a promotional gift card. After finally getting the gift card (which took far more effort than it should have), I used it to purchase an item directly from the Verizon website. The very next day, my order was canceled.
I contacted online chat support and was told that the funds were restored to the gift card and that I should simply repurchase the item. When I attempted to do that, the gift card showed a zero balance.
So now I’m stuck again — after being told the funds were put back.
This has been an unnecessary headache and a very disappointing experience as a brand-new customer. I should not have to jump through hoops just to use a promotional card that Verizon issued.
At this point, I am seriously reconsidering staying with Verizon because this has been one issue after another.
Has anyone else experienced this? And can someone from Verizon please explain:
- Where the funds from the gift card actually are
- Why it shows zero balance after being told the money was restored
- How this will be resolved quickly
I am looking for a real solution, not another runaround.
