The user may need to temp disable any pop-up blocker as that can affect sign-in acceptance windows the user would need to click on.
Mobile App sign-in - If the user is a VZW customer as well then the MDN on the SIM MUST match the VZW account line that was registered (person can't use any old device/line but only the one that accepted the invite). Using the Desktop Client to mass-save Cloud content to local desktop machine:
Downloading your Cloud content to the desktop using the Desktop App is done in the 'Preferences' menu under the section 'Devices'.
In that menu you will see each source that has uploaded content to your Cloud (Past and present), and there will be a button to the right for 'Download All'. That will pull down a copy of all items that the listed device added to your total Cloud repo.
If you only need selected items downloaded and not large amounts, then if you look in the PC folder "VZCLOUD", drill down, you will see thumbnails for all your content. If the image is fully rendered (and not a placeholder) then you may:
- Copy one or more thumbnails
- Locate a destination on your c:/ drive (can not be another Drive Letter, sorry)
- Paste what you copied.
at this point the Cloud App will background download the full version of the selected thumbnails to that destination. After that you may move the content in the destination folder to any other drive available - only the initial download needs to stay on C:/
--> NOTE: 'Click/Drag' will not work as a mean to copy. You the menu items 'copy' 'paste'.
Remember that you are downloading a copy, so your Cloud storage is intact
NOTE: Leave your desktop machine on and connected to the internet. Depending on the size of media to be saved, you may need to turn off SLEEP for the computer until done.
NOTE: ISP connection, download size, and computer's processing power will determine the time required to complete.
The desktop app (without using a web browser) has two means to download Server Saved content to your desktop:
- In the menu section 'Devices' you will see a button that allows your to download all items from a specific device that uploaded to your Cloud Repository.
- In your computer's desktop files you will see a folder "VZCLOUD". In there are sub folders for mobile, web, etc. In these SubFolders you will see rendered thumbnails of your cloud content. COPY/PASTE a rendered thumbnail to another computer folder in the primary drive (C:/ in the case of Windows) and all copied thumbnails will download from storage to that new folder.
Usually there will be the down-facing arrow appearing only after content is selected. This applies to Web and mobile interfaces.
If the above steps fail, you can email the Verizon Cloud support team (vzw.verizon.cloud@verizonwireless .com), Visit a Verizon store and file an AYS ticket or go online and submit an instabug (Luciq) for us to take a more in-depth look at the issue.
