I just bought a new phone and I’m switching from my dad’s plan to my own and moving to Verizon. When I first bought the phone I decided to move my number with the change, and I got a link emailed to me to transfer my number. When I clicked on the link the first time it was asking for a port out number which I wasn’t able to get at the time so I left it. The next time I clicked on it it said that my number transfer was initiated, but that’s how it’s been for a week. I got my phone yesterday and it’s still stuck on initiating. I’m unsure of how it just went without a transfer number and I’m concerned it will be stuck in initiating because I somehow messed it up. Should I just wait it out and see if it switches? Or is there something else I can do. My old phone gets all my messages, and my new phone only gets messages if I send one on it and they respond.
