I just upgraded my GS23U to GS26U on a 3 year contract. Expecting to setup a second line using my optimum mobile number. So I find out that on the new phone all sims are locked until the phone is paid off and I cannot activate the optimum line until then. This policy went into effect exactly one month ago. Prior there was a 60 day lock period which i can live with but now its the length of the contract. In the policy statement it says its to prevent fraud. I've been a customer for over 23 years with five phones on the account. I pay almost $300 a month. Do I seem like someone who is fraudulent? I'm seriously considering returning the phone and taking my business elsewhere. Verizon needs to do better by their loyal customers.
