I didn't find anything about being able to suspend internet service. Is this for 5G Home Internet, or Fios? You might be able to set up a payment arrangement in My Verizon if there's a "schedule payment arrangement" link in your bill, or if there's a "promise to pay" option in your billing section of My Verizon.
From reading other threads in the forums, I get a feeling that a payment arrangement will keep you from being disconnected only if you're just a few days behind on the bill. If it's been longer than that and you're getting warning notices about disconnection, you're going to be at risk of being disconnected until the entire bill has been paid.
