I am trying to figure out how to get myself listed as Account Owner instead of Account Member. I am responsible for managing the account and keeping the account paid.

Are you the only one on the account, or is it a group account? I would have to think if you are the only person on the account and there is only one line present, you are by default the Account Owner and it is a glitch in the system. If this is a business account, I don't know how those are structured, but that's a different part of the company than personal accounts, so the nomenclature could be different.
The only way I've seen to get a new person named Account Owner otherwise is via the Transfer Your Service process, but again, if you've been the only one running your account all along…
The CSRs are currently not using these forums due to ongoing background work in progress. Your best bet would be to contact Verizon via one of their social media channels. If you don't have social media, use either the "contact us" link at the top of the forum page, or live chat while logged into My Verizon.
