Requesting Fios Expansion — McLean VA

Hello,

How can I get a FAST ticket opened or request Fios be brought into our community?

We're a 19-home neighborhood in McLean, VA 22101 (Fairfax County). Fios is on every street around us but our subdivision was skipped during the original rollout. We've been stuck with Cox ever since.

Our HOA board is fully on board and all 19 households want to switch. We're ready to work with Verizon on access, easements, whatever is needed to make this happen. Happy to discuss a community-wide agreement if that helps.

If someone could point us in the right direction or get our addresses into the system, we'd really appreciate it.

Hm. If it is simply a matter of running an extra line to your street, seems like it wouldn't be that much an issue. But if it involves having anything more built, then it's going to be a lot more difficult, because I haven't heard anything from Verizon on them expanding their existing Fios network. Your best bet is to contact Verizon via one of their social media channels as they'd have to send an engineer out to see what needs to be done.

With Verizon having acquired Frontier recently, have you checked if Frontier services your neighborhood? It's going to be a while before Frontier's internet services are incorporated completely under Verizon, but that's really the only way Verizon is expanding their fiber internet service.
