I am a resident of a townhome community of over 330 homes, and I am writing to request an update on the expansion of Fios service to our neighborhood.
We understand that our mayor has already been in contact with the Verizon team and that the project is currently in the design phase — which is encouraging news. We wanted to reach out directly to express just how strong the demand is from our community.
A few key points we'd like to share:
- A community survey found that 95% of residents are dissatisfied with our current Xfinity service and are actively seeking an alternative.
- Our neighborhood is completely surrounded by Fios service — it is available on virtually every street around us, yet not a single home in our community has access.
- A Fios line already runs along the backyards of several homes in our development, making infrastructure expansion appear very feasible.
With 330+ homes ready to switch, we represent a significant and motivated customer base. We would greatly appreciate any update you can share on the timeline for the design phase and when we might expect service to become available. Can we create a FAST ticket?
