I wanted to reach out directly before making any decisions, because I’ve recently started exploring other carriers. I’d much rather stay with Verizon, but I need a reason to do so.
I’ve been a loyal customer with Verizon for several years and have always kept my account in good standing. Right now, though, I’m in a frustrating position. I need a new phone, but I’m unable to upgrade because I still owe about $300 on my current device. The issue is that last year I was told by a Verizon associate that once my device was 50% paid off, I would be eligible for an upgrade. I’ve planned around that, and now I’m being told that’s not an option.
On top of that, my monthly bill has gotten to the point where it’s just too high, which is another reason I’ve started looking into other carriers. When I combine the cost with the lack of upgrade flexibility, it’s making it hard to justify staying.
It’s also discouraging to see that new customers seem to receive better deals and incentives than existing loyal customers. As someone who has stayed committed to Verizon for years, that’s tough to overlook.
That’s honestly what’s pushing me to look elsewhere. Other carriers are offering incentives to switch, and while I’d prefer not to go through that hassle, it’s getting harder to justify staying without some flexibility or support on Verizon’s end.
I’m not asking for anything unreasonable—I’m just hoping Verizon will work with me the same way I’ve been committed as a customer. If there’s a way to help with an early upgrade, apply a loyalty incentive, or find a solution that makes sense both on my device and my monthly bill, I’m more than willing to stay and continue my service with Verizon.
I value the service I’ve had, and I’d like to keep that going. I just need to know Verizon values keeping me as a customer too.
I’d really appreciate someone reviewing my account and reaching out with options as soon as possible as I am considering swapping Monday morning.
