I'm wondering if your number is being spoofed. Typically, the bad actors running whatever shady schemes will change the spoofed number every few days to avoid being caught, so the problem might go away on its own. But if you keep getting called by random people saying you contacted them when you didn't, then I'd suggest using a search engine for "my number is being spoofed".
