We live in Strongsville Ohio ( near Cleveland ) Our Verizon router has a Columbus Ohio IP address. We have tried to get it changed via Verizon with NO luck. Unplugging has not worked. We need it changed from Columbus to Cleveland.
Did you use to live in Columbus, OH and moved the gateway to your current address? If so, I think you have to file a Move Request with Verizon to update the service address.

Otherwise, I'm wondering if this is a "floating IP address" issue and due to the exit node for your internet being in Columbus, OH.
