Thank you for your question.

* Dial #PORT (#7678) from the smartphone.
* Complete verification in the Interactive Voice Response (IVR).

Result: You will receive a free Verizon message with a secure link.

Note: You must complete verification which requires Account PIN.
* Open the text message.
* Tap the Generate PIN button from the Create Your Transfer PIN screen.

Result: The new PIN and Account Number display on the screen.

I'm not sure if this still applies to prepaid customers, but it used to be if you were prepaid, then none of the methods for generating a transfer PIN would work.  Prepaid customers have to go to a corporate Verizon store or contact Prepaid CS at 888-294-6804 to get a transfer PIN.
