After being with AT&T for 10+ years, I switched to Verizon a few months ago. Unfortunately, my experience has been very frustrating.
When I signed up, the salesperson gave me a bill estimate that turned out to be completely inaccurate. Each time I questioned the charges, I was told to wait for the next bill because it would be corrected. After multiple billing issues and no clear resolution, I cancelled my Verizon service and moved back to AT&T.
I was told I would receive my final bill in the next billing statement, but I never received it. I have called Verizon customer service multiple times, and each time I was told the bill had been mailed and that I should receive it in 2–3 days. That still has not happened.
Now Verizon is charging me late fees, even though I still have not been able to view or receive my final invoice. I am not refusing to pay what I owe, but I need to see the actual final bill before paying. How can I be expected to pay a bill I cannot access or review?
Has anyone else dealt with this after disconnecting Verizon mobile service? How were you able to get your final bill? Should I escalate this formally or dispute the late fees if Verizon continues charging fees without giving me access to the invoice?
Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.
