Fios Pathways and Lines ran, how long before availability?

I've been patiently waiting for months now, recently checked and still not available. There are however homes about 5 blocks away that show Fios is available.

Is there a way to get some sort of timeline? Moreso than just the text or mailing when it is finally available?

There's no way to tell. Your best bet is to check for availability weekly. Orange if fiber conduit, unsure what the bundles would be, photos might help.

As far as I know, Verizon has no plans to expand their existing Fios infrastructure. If the nearest neighborhood having Fios is 5 blocks away, it would require Verizon to build more network in order to bring Fios to you. However, Verizon did recently acquire Frontier to expand their fiber optic internet service capabilities, so if you haven't checked on Frontier's website to see if they service your neighborhood, would be worth looking into.

Thanks, I didn't think they were expanding anything either. In August of last year they were running pathways through my front yard followed by Verizon contractors running fiber a few weeks later — seems an awful lot like they were expanding their infrastructure.

Maybe I'm just hopeful I'll have something better than the 35mbps max upload speed xfinity currently offers here.

Just because they ran fiber doesn't mean it was for local service. I hope it was and it does take a long time to get it ready for actual customer service. Different company, but in my case they ran the fiber, but was 9 months before the offered actual service.

Is there anything I can look out for?
When they were running the fiber they put some orange sleeves up a few poles with a bunch of extra loops, the one at the corner of my property has 4 bundles looped up.

It won't allow me to upload, but it is orange jacketed and going up many of the utility poles in the area. I checked FCC history and fiber was not listed at the several addresses in the area prior to December 2025. Maybe it's just taking them a while to roll it out to the entire town and I'm impatient.
