and only allow my incoming contact calls. I know how to do it with my old samsung flipshot but i do not know how to work it out with the new droid eris. please help. thanks in advance.
There does not seem to be an option to allow calls only from contacts (numbers in Google Voice). What I did was set my main ringing option silent, then set specific rings for all those I wanted to hear from. Other calls come in, and I can see them if I like, but I don't hear a ring and don't need to take the calls.
There are several apps in the market that let you personalize call options. I am not sure if there is one that specifically does what you want but its worth a look. I know of a couple apps that let you block calls from specific #'s but i am not sure if they let blaock all calls not in contacts. Check out the market ------>apps----->communication. I know there are some that are free and some paid, so pick your poison and start scolling.
There's an app for Droid at least -- tcallblocking Lite -- that does exactly what you want.
tblockinglite.. I'm not seeing where it blocks "texting".. is there an app that does this? You can block up to 5 numbers right from your Verizon account online.. the same thing that it seems that app does.. what I need..is an app that stops a text number from coming thru from a particular number. I blocked the number from my verizon account but it still allows the texts to go through.
I would need an app for the Droid that blocks texting..not just the number.
