Text Messages All Completely Delete at Random

For the second time today since I have had the Droid (only had it for about a month) the text messages all just completely get deleted. This doesn't happen when I am doing anything, just go to look at my messages and they are all completely gone - including locked ones. This is of concern when important information is saved on a text message or a photo received from someone has not yet been saved. Also a problem if someone text messages that is not yet stored as a contact. This has happened twice now and the numbers are gone. Has anybody heard if there is a solution to this problem? Is it something that is covered under the 1yr. warranty through Verizon?

Do you normally clean out your inbox on a regular basis? Sometimes if your messages have not been cleared out or have reached the maximum capacity, your phone will automatically delete them.

Mine did the exact same thing yesterday. Second time since I bought it in November. Just out of nowhere - POOF - all of them gone. I understand the droid deleting old messages, but it should only delete the oldest ones, once it reaches the threshold you've set. I wouldn't think that it hits the limit I have set and then it deletes all of my messages. I save them for a long time because I use them to go back to to get phone #'s, addresses, etc. If that's the case, I guess I'll need to set the limit higher in the settings.
