Hello Everyone, (need to vent some anger here)
I must say I am switching from AT&T to Verizon and it has been a very painful process and AT&T is looking genious right now. I have called Verizon and although they "Can hear me now" they arent able to resolve my problem - WHICH IS ACTUALLY THEIR SCREW UP NOT MINE!!!!!!! Looking for some help here with people who have the same situation as me and how it was resolved.
Here are the details:
1. Waited up like every other person to order the phone at 3AM on 02/09/11 so that I could be guaranteed the Iphone 4 and not have to wait in line at a local store etc.
2. Order confirmed and processed. However, they did charge credit card and shipped out on Friday 02/11/11 - A DAY AFTER ACTUAL RELEASE DATE. If i knew that i wouldnt have my phone at actual launch date then I would have waited on the line at a local store and be guaranteed at least a phone.
3. Received my Iphone 4 TODAY - 02/14/11.
4. Tried to activate phone - GUESS WHAT?????????? The dummy packing the box a the Verizon distribution center put the wrong Iphone 4 16GB phone in the box that came to me. What do I mean by wrong? The MEID on the phone and on the box matched - BUT THAT PHONE DIDNT MATCH THE ONE THAT Verizon put on my account!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot activate my phone and I have already been charged for something that I cannot use.
5. Verizon is telling me that the only thing they can do is have me return my phone back to them and THEN BE PUT BACK AT THE END OF THE LIST TO GET ANOTHER IPHONE!!!!!!!! What ???? I have to go to the end of the line when I was one of the dumb people to order the phone at 3AM and due to some minimum wage illiterate packing the wrong thing in the box - I have to suffer!!!!
I know I am being rude here - but this is so frustrating and this cannot go well as having good customer service?
Anyone that had this problem - is there any other way to solve this? I think Verizon knows they messed up this entire process and rather than changing the MEID's on the accounts - they want them all back and have people re-wait on the end of the long list of people who are to get Iphones.
If they tell me they cannot resolve this - THEN I AM STAYING WITH AT&T. I dont care. This is ridiculous.
