LG Vortex Charging Trouble

I got my Vortex last Saturday, and am experiencing a lot of trouble charging it....

First, it is taking me hours and hours just to build up a small amount of battery. Is this normal?

Also, sometimes while charging, the phone turns itself on/off.

When I plug the phone in to keep the battery from dying, sometimes the battery dies while hooked up to the charger.... WTH? Never had this problem with another phone...

Also, the battery dies very quickly, usually I can only get 13-15 hours in with about 5 texts an hour, even though I've been conditioning the battery...

Separate issue, I cannot get it to sync with my Bluetooth... I have never used a Bluetooth, so this issue is probably with me, not the phone lol

Are you charging the phone with the wall charger or with a USB connection on a computer? The USB port doesn't provide enough power to charge the battery from dead or a low battery.

Are you turning off radios when you don't use them? wifi, Bluetooth, gps

With these smartphones if you can get through a day without having your battery go dead that seems to be the norm now.

I have tried using a wall charger, car charger, and USB. All have yielded the same results... I also have a task killer app that shuts my other apps off automatically. The problem is not so bad holding the charge as it is getting the phone to charge in the first place. Just now, I've had my phone plugged into my wall charger for an hour and a half and battery has increased by all of 1%. Thank you for your help, this is so frustrating and I'm very eager to get it solved!

The next thing to try is a new battery. With issues related to phones not holding a charge, a Verizon Wireless technician can troubleshoot to determine if the issue is related to a defective phone or battery. If your phone was ordered online and within 30 days of purchase, you can exchange your phone/battery at any company-owned Verizon Wireless store or call us at 800-922-0204.
