Best Android Phone??

I am another unhappy Samsung Fascinate customer after this new software update so I'm wanting to find the best Droid phone out there. I would prefer to stick with Verizon but I will leave considering how they've handled the issues around the Fascinate and the recent software upgrade (did they test anything?).

Anyway, Any opinions on the Droid Charge? Incredible 2? Is there something awesome coming out soon that anyone has heard of?

Its all preferences. I never liked the samsung UI they put over the base android OS. I liked my Droid X, felt good and smoth, better then the orginally droid. I know have the Xperia play and love it. Forget the game controller, the system is a base 2.3, with same basic VZ apps. No custom UI from Sony. Feels so much faster and smoother than my X and the specs are not to much different.

But there is no best phone, its best for you. On paper the X2 is the best, but it does not have 4g. Where I live there won't be 4g till next year, so that means nothing to me. The bionic in the summer will prob be the 'Best' one. Motorola does a good job with their UI, my brother also likes his HTC, but the base UI on the xperia is really nice.

Yeah thanks thats kinda the info I'm looking for. I know it's all preferences, but there are some phones that seem to stand out. As a big user of apps and texting and "fun" on my phone I want to know which one works the best as far as getting bogged down.

So basically I want the larger screen phone like the one i have with a much more stable operating system. I'm sick of showing my friends an app and my phone getting hung up.

I really like the left/right sliding interface of the Iphone and Fascinate over the Moto but I'm not sure that's a big deal at all!

When is the Bionic coming out? That sounds like one I might be interested in.

No firm date on the bionic, just summer. Seeing that the Xperia play was set to release in early spring and its out official tomorrow ( I'm loving it) I would think August with some hopes for July.

A lot of the time apps are a mayor problem on phones. I know Words with Friends completely drains battery life and has massive freezing on most motorola phones, my X, g/fs pro and friends Droid 2. Since there is so many versions of the OS/UI it makes it hard for app developers to have a single app that works flawless against multiply platforms. Its always good to read reviews of the app before hand and search your phone name. If you see people with it having force close/freezing issues its better to wait for an update or find a different app.

Keep in mind that verizon is also getting ride of unlimited data plans this 'summer'. This is the word anyway. When I loss my unlimited data I will be leaving verizon. I use a min of 2.75 gigs with an average of 3.2-3.4 gigs. If the plan changes and I need to pay more than 30 bucks I'm out. But I just locked my plan in for another 2 years so won't have to worry for a while.
