Backup Assistant

This has probably been asked before so I apologize but I was hoping someone could help me.  When my Backup Assistant tries to sync on my Droid Ally a screen pops up and says "Application Error - 10: Backup Assistant has encountered a database error.  Please close Backup Assistant and try again."  I do this and the same screen comes up.  What am I doing wrong?

When your experiencing Backup-Assistance issues, we recommend power cycling your device. You can also try Clearing your cache and then power cycle to perform a soft reset. The last step if clearing  your cache doesn't work is to force stop the application , then start the process to use backup assistance again. I have listed steps below:

 

To clear your cache:

 

1. From the Home screen, touch the applications tab (bottom of the screen).
   
   
2. Touch Browser.
   
   
3. Press the Menu key.
   
   
4. Touch More.
   
   
5. Touch Settings.
   
   
6. Touch Clear cache.
    Some visited website content stored on the device. The cache enables the browser to download only the content that has changed since the last time a website was visited. Since the browser only downloads changed content, pages are loaded faster.
   
   
7. Touch OK.
   
   
8. Touch Clear history.
   A listing of URLs (website addresses) that have been recently visited.
   
   
9. Touch OK.
   
   
10. Touch Clear all cookie data.
    Some visited website content stored on the device. The cache enables the browser to download only the content that has changed since the last time a website was visited. Since the browser only downloads changed content, pages are loaded faster.
    
    
11. Touch OK.
    
    

To Force stop the feature:

 

1. From the Home screen, select the applications tab (bottom of the screen).
   
   
2. Select Settings.
   
   
3. Select Applications.
   
   
4. Select Manage applications.
   
   
5. Select the application.
   
   
6. Select Force stop.
   
   
7. Select Clear data.
   
   
8. Select OK.
   
   

To backup contacts,  you can utilize the steps below:

1. From the Home screen, touch the applications tab (bottom of the screen).
   
   
2. Touch Backup Assistant.
   
   
3. Touch Sync Now.
