I tried using the VZ Navigator with the turn-by-turn directions and I couldn't get any sound for voice directions. I'm a veteran of VZ Navigator on my old LG phone. What am I doing wrong? Is there certain settings for the voice function?
Not sure about the sound issue but I can highly suggest Mapquest Mobile, its free and does everything plus more that VZ Navigator does.
Are other sounds working? Make sure you didn't flip your phone to silent (switch above the volume)

You have to hit the volume up button while the app is actually voicing instructions.
1. Start a VZ Nav navigation session.
2. Repeatedly press the volume up button while the app is voicing a manuever.
This should take care it the issue.
I'm having the same problem. I hear the"getting route" and then nothing. I checked the settings and it shows the sound muted, but it is not selected to mute. I tried to deactivate the mute button, but it does not work. I can't find any other preferences to cause this to happen.
