When will Verizon offer the blocking calls service for the iphone?
OK, while waiting for Apple and Verizon to work together for their customers, I will check out the third party apps.
Thanks,
talk to apple, from what i have heard you cant on att either, its a software thing
I posted on Apple's site, they said it was the provider that would need to offer the service.
but apple has to approve any software on the phone, so its both of them
Why would Verizon need to put software on the iphone to block? Seems like Verizon would just need to block calls through their own network before the calls get to the iphone, correct?
I get many telemarketing calls, need to also know if number blocking apps are available for the Droid phone

This is the iPhone forum so it's not the best place for you to get an answer on Droid devices.
I used to work in the telecom industry and I am extremely proficient in several types of Operating Systems. I feel that Apple, who boasts so strongly the importance of personal privacy and security is doing all their customers a disservice by not allowing call blocking! I love Apple/iPhone, but not allowing that feature alone has made me entertain the thought of switching to another device/OS. Lets not be hypocritical here folks! Both Android and Blackberry offer the ability to block specific messages and calls from specific callers. Apple doesn't?!? Really? what a fucking joke...get off your high horse and give your customer what they've been looking for. Thanks for your time....
