Copy Phonebook

Just bought a new Panasonic link-to-cell phone and am having problems copying (not transferring) my droid X phone book to my Panasonic landline phone. Can this be done? I am linked but cannot copy the phone book. I get an "error message" on my phone.

I have no idea if this can be done or not...and it looks like no one else here does either, based on the lack of responses. Have you tried the Panasonic support site?

I am having the same identical problem. Have you found an answer to not being able to transfer the directory from a droid x to a panasonic link to cell?

I too recently purchased a Panasonic Link to Cell cordless phone and cannot transfer the address book from the cell phone to the cordless phone. Perhaps it is because the Bluetooth link requires a Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) that is not supported by the Verizon phones. I will try to check this out through Panasonic.

I actually transfer 3 Verizon addresses that all start with an # including the name and phone number. Why is that?

And why does the Backup Assistant for Verizon have a different CVS(comma separated values) selection when exporting the phone book?

I experienced the same situation when trying to transfer contacts from my DROID X to a Panasonic KX-TG7643M system (the handset would display an error message after under a minute). I checked under Settings / Wireless and networks / Bluetooth settings during the transfer and noticed the Bluetooth device KX-TG76 would switch from Connected to Paired but not connected. I then switched to the DX's homescreen and immediately noticed what hadn't been visible from the Settings screen...the DX was notifying me that its contact list was being accessed by the Panasonic device, and asking me to confirm the action. Once I did so (using the provided checkbox to permanently remember my choice), the transfer succeeded.

On a related note, I've only managed to get a fraction of my total contacts to transfer. It looks as if I've run into the problem described on page 54 of the phone's instruction guide, which notes that contact entries containing images might fail to transfer to the base unit.

On my Samsung Galaxy SIII Android I transferred the phone book to a Panasonic cordless phone (model KX-TG254SK but it should work on any link-to-cell model). On the first try it timed out but I found that was because I didn't go the notifications area on the cell phone to verify the transfer. No extra application had to be installed on the cell phone. Make sure bluetooth is enabled on the cell phone first. From any Panasonic handset, pair it to your Android phone using [Menu] #6241 (for line 1) or [Menu] #6242 (for line 2). On the cell phone enter code 0000 at the prompt, that should pair the phones together. To copy the phone book use [Menu] #618 and select the cell phone from the Panasonic menu and "Auto" transfer. Now, from the cell phone again, go to notifications and open the notifier to approve the copy command. That set the transfer in motion on my phones and each entry displayed on the screen of the Panasonic cordless phone as it was being copied. This setup works great because cell calls can be answered on any Panasonic handset in the house and Caller ID is sent to all handsets.
