Not sure which Droid you are referring to, But on the Moto Droid you can.

I am sure you figured out the other part, but you can also select your ringtone form the same sound & display tab. Then of course, you can always add a ringtone from an app on the market.
I am talking about the Eris Driod
BTW I dont have trhe phone yet it should be here tomorrow. I am doing my research now before it gets here, so I don't have to do allot of guess work
