Looks like the call center lost the information battle. I just got a shipping notification in my email.
I ordered the 8GB myself. I did recieve my initial order confirmation, but no info on shipping yet.
I called and spoke to a Verizon rep. He said that all the recent iPhone 4s orders were delayed in shipping until Oct 21, and that the 8GB 4 is also effected by this delay. He told me not to expect it to ship until the 21st at least.
That being said, the online order status does show that I will still recieve by the 14th. My card has yet to be charged, although Verizon has been holding the funds since yesterday. I ordered on OCT 5.
I guess I will find out soon enough who is right on the shipping info - the call center or the website.
Cool beans! I ordered pretty early but my credit card hasn't be charged yet... Still says expected ship date 10/14/2011 though.
