I just read about this at Computer World Android Central and quickly opted out for this. Check out the post at http://blogs.computerworld.com/19089/verizon_mobile_web_privacy because this appears to be some information to share..
Visit chrome://ietab2/content/reloaded.html?url=https://nbillpay.verizonwireless.com/vzw/secure/setPrivacy.action?opts=notice and make sure to opt out of both areas if you do not care to have this information shared...
Just an FYI, there are 3 areas to opt out of, the first one is not expanded by default.
Seems weird that more people don't know about this, VZW sent me an email about it, but it sounds like most people don't know anything about it. Thanks for posting!

Thanks, I missed the third one that wasnt expanded...
I wouldn't have caught it either, but I had seen a comment earlier on androidcentral about it.
It's worse than just monitoring your web habits. My notice states that "You will receive mobile ads whether you participate or not"
I don't recall anything in my contract stating that I consented to be harassed by mobile ads. I think this is a good reason to break the contract and go with a different provider who will not intrude on my privacy.
Thanks a lot Verizon.
