Pressing the number one for voicemail

My old phone, when someone called and it went to voicemail, you didn't have to listen to the lady giving you all the options. You could just hit one and bypass her. But with my iPhone you don't have the number one option. Can I set my phone up so I get this again?

Since the iPhone uses a visual voicemail there is a dedicated area in the phone app for voicemails. You don't have to listen to anything you don't want to (no instructions or anything like that). Otherwise, no...you can't assign the voicemail to any number key.
