I never got the chance to change the default password, And I recently just lost the paper that had the password on it, I know it was foolish of me not write it down somewhere, but..

Is there a way to reset my password without having to have the default password? Thank you

The thing to do is reset the parameters to default with a reset, then use admin, then set it again to whatever you want.

Hello,

To reset the MiFi 4510L:

1. Power On the MIFi

2. Remove the back cover

3. Press and hold the "Reset" button near the battery for 10-15 seconds

a. You may need a pencil or paper clip to press down the button

4. Wait for the MiFi to reboot and stabilize

5. Reassemble the MiFi

6. Test your connection

Please note that these steps will restore all passwords/settings to thier default values. The default router password is "admin" but the default wireless password is based on your IMEI number. The Router password is used to access the http://MiFi.Admin webpage where the wireless password is used to connect to the device.

If you have lost the default wireless password:

1. Power off the MiFi

2. Remove the back cover

3. Remove the battery

4. Locate and record the IMEI number

5. Format the IMEI number

a. Start with the entire number ----------------(Ex. 88888888-666666-1)

b. Remove the 3rd segment of the IMEI ----(Ex. 88888888-666666)

c. Remove the dashes --------------------------(Ex. 88888888666666)

6. Record the formatted IMEI number as your default password on a piece of paper

7. Reassemble the MiFi

8. Power on the MiFi

9. Connect to the MiFi and test the password
