How did I lose $8.20? with prepaid core to another verizon mobile

Question

It went from 44.52 - 36.32﻿ in less than an hour.

It was 47.21﻿ just yesterday so I lost $11 in one day???

I know it is .99 each day you use it, but why did it charge me this much?

It was found, but not completely "fixed"

It was roaming but, it was from my home to another verizon cell close by.

The procedure is cannot fix unless this happens again.

I would like to prevent this from happening again. I did Settings & Tools> Phone Settings> System Select >  Home Only, it was on Automatic B, would this change anything?

I'm not even sure if I should make another thread regarding this.

You know it's unlimited to mobile to mobile... if .99/ day. I said it's Prepaid CORE. I'm calling another VERIZON user

It is ROAMING because the representative said it. I do not have any "apps" and I'm NOT texting anyone.

Also, Excluding outgoing calls, INBOUND CALLS somehow charges me .20 PER MINUTE, and website states: DOMESTIC ROAMING as .20 / min.

I seletected "Home Only"

I was told to go to a store and have someone do something on my phone : "Hybrid PRL" yet, they didn't know what I was talking about. They had to get other people to try to help me out on this problem. So this is what they told me:

I did *228 and pressed 2, and then 1

If this didn't help, they said "I had to buy a new phone"
