LG Ally Facebook Issue

I have an LG Ally and have had no problems using Facebook up until today.  Last night the FB app did an automatic update and I have not been able to access it through my phone since.  I turned off and turned back on and also took the battery out for a minute and put it back to reset it.  Still no luck.

 

I found a similar question on here and followed the steps in the answer but did not see FB listed as a "Running Service". 

 

Another issue I am having is with storage issues.  I dont have many apps on my phone (3 of them i have on my SD card to save space).  Is there a way to make room?  With all the phones Ive had I've never run out of storage space or text message space like I have on this phone.

Klwdisney, let's see if we can get your Facebook working again. The first thing that I would suggest is to clear cache from the Facebook application. You can do the same thing for other large files to clear memory. If you are still having problems with Facebook, see if you have the option in that same screen to uninstall updates. If not, uninstall then reinstall the application. 

 

Other ways to clear up some memory is to check your trash bin in your email. The phone does not automatically delete these and those can use a lot of memory.
