There is already a GSM version out of the Nexus one. It is the same outlook as a CDMA version. Only difference is the GSM network.Here it is what it looks like....
I didn't exactly want to pay all 5-600 bucks on one quite yet! I am due for an upgrade through Verizon and have read and heard rumors that the Nexus One is supposed to come out tomorrow. But when I talk directly to the Verizon folks they don't say anything about it. So I was just wondering what the status is of when it is going to be released. Do you know of that per chance?

It may just be worth spending that much. I was on the T-mobile forums yesterday. I saw that one person spent $500 on the phone! Person said it was "totally worth every penny. The phone is simply amazing". How far are you away from your upgrade in general? On wikipedia the site states "Verizon (CDMA) version of the Nexus One will be available in the US. The rumored release date is March 23, 2010".
I do believe it is worth every penny...sounds like a sweet phone to me! In general...my upgrade for the new every 2 deal was back in November!! So I am overdue really. I have read that release date other places as well but figured I outta come to the source to see if anyone actually knew the truth of it or not. I will waith until tomorrow to see!
I am not holding my breath anymore. I have been with Verizon forever now. Whenever anyone looks at my phone.... they say "yikes... you need a new phone!!!" Well.. that's the rub. Have an expensive plan (yes... it is expensive compared to other carriers!) and horrible phones! There isn't one Verizon phone that I am interested in getting. Android 1.6 and 2.0? Old news! I have been walking around with a beat up Blackberry Pearl for almost 2 and half years now. Sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesn't! Now I see that AT &T is getting the Nexus One... they also got the Palm Pre and Pixi... AT &T snags a Dell Droid phone T Mobile announces the HTC HD2 for March 24th and they only thing that comes out from Verizon (so far!) is that they are getting the LG Cosmos! WooHoo! Come on Verizon! Give us something tobe really excited about!
Verizon is defiantly one of the slowest adopters of new smart phones. I'm looking forward to hearing what HTC has to say later on today about the Incredible, just because everything else points to the Incredible being a better phone than the Nexus.
a simple announcement on when it is coming out would go soo far into making customers more satisfied...but no...they wanna wait and wait and fricken wait...frustrates the hell out of me...i really do like the nexus one and if it doesnt come soon the EVO looks more promising even tho i have to wait a couple more months...already have been waiting 3 for the nexus one

At the current Verizon phone release pace, the EVO may well be out BEFORE the N1 is released on Verizon. I honestly think that there is a better than 50% chance that the N1 will be on Sprint before it is on Verizon...
HERE IT IS FOLKS!! THE RELEASE OF THE ONE THE ONLY....MOTO-Devour. Good Lord these guys are ridiculous! Get our hopes up for a real phone and then they announce this piecer. GREAT WORK VZW!!!

I'm so frustrated, my current phone is win mobile...need I say more as to why I so desperately need a new phone?? lol I'd get the **bleep** droid if the camera and a few other things on it were better....and it was wasn't motorola. I just don't want to spend a bunch of money on a phone I don't like or settle for a crappy, glitchy phone any longer. Ok, enough of my **bleep**, whining and moaning....
