I traded in my droid 3 for an iphone 4, while I was in warranty. I was wondering if there was any way that I could trade in my iphone for a droid 3, at the store, for a droid 3 of similar condition. Do you think that it is possible? Thanks.
did you "exchange" the iphone for the droid, or did they actually honor the warranty by replacing a defective droid with an iphone? they typically don't give you a different device. usually you have to go through a number of defective devices (the same madel) before they will offer you a different device.
if you exchanged the droid for the iphone, then you are only allowed one exchange. you may not exchange it again.
Out of curiousity, what do you mean? Do you mean to trade, or does it also affecting me BUYING a new, non contract phone and hooking it up on my line, and replacing my iphone? Thank you.
you can always buy a new phone at full retail price without signing a new contract. we are just unclear as to if you "exchanged" your droid for an iphone (meaning you returned it within 14 or 30 days in exchange for an iphone) or if you took it in because it wasn't functioning properly and they allowed you to get an iphone instead, because it was still under warranty. devices have a one year warranty, but they typically will ONLY replace a device with the same type of device. i'm gussing the answer to your question is no, they will not let you trade an iphone for a droid. but again, we don't really understand what you have done thus far.
as far as the exchange process goes. if you buy a discounted phone by signing a new contract, you have 14 days to return it for a full refund or exchange it for a different phone. you may do this one time with your new contract. they do this so that people don't just keep exchanging phones every two weeks, to test out all the different phones.
