Nexus One vs. Droid/Eris

So anyone excited about the Nexus One? I'm thinking of getting the Droid or Eris but rumor has it that Verizon is going to get this bad boy in late spring even though tmobile already has it out for their customers. What would be the best option to go with

I would not jump to the Nexus One. I am waiting for the Nexus Two! I do not purchase version One of anything!

Or the Nexus Three! Or Four! See where I'm getting at here?

Anyway, I believe it's to personal preference. The Nexus One and Droid have very similar specs, nearly identical except for some slight differences. I think what it really comes down to is that if you prefer a physical keyboard or just touchscreen. Aside from that when the Droid gets 2.1 they will be pretty much the same.

I can't wait for the Applications-being-saved-to-SD-card-thing. That way we'll all be able to have top quality applications and games :smileyhappy:

I would wait to get the Nexus.I would want to see reviews by people first. If good feedback then get the phone

This will happen anyway since it'll take a bit of time before Verizon gets this phone. In the meantime we can see how those who already have the phone and are using it on T-mobile are faring.

To me this is a newer/faster Eris (I don't need a physical keyboard) .. so I'm looking forward to the user reports, esp with regard to battery life.

N1 is a good phone indeed, but if you already have Droid, then probably there is nothing to be excited about.

N1 uses snapdragon processor, which, in simple calculation, faster than Droid by x2 or so.

But other than that, well...

AMOLED screen will look great, but that usually has stronger orange color, and usually not very visible under the sunlight (unless you turn on the backlight)

And no physical keyboard may appeal some people, while not for some other.

I have Droid, but I wouldn't trade my physical keyboard and real 16:9 screen for above things.

Ah, and for 3D, N1 can do more polygons per second, but less pixels per second (textures).

So 3D experience won't be groundbreakingly different from Droid.
