Prepaid will not activate

Could someone please help me? I'd appreciate it.

Got my prepaid LG Revere this morning and it will not acitivate. I put the battery in and pressed Send. At that point, I thought it was activated, but no. I tried dialing *228. I took the battery out, put it back in and tried again 3 times. No luck.

Is this thing broken?

A little more info.

I ported my number from AT&T.

I didn't get a Security Code when it tried to activate the first time.

Had to call Verizon to get a Security Code.

Called from a pay phone, tried to call the same number again but could not reach a real person again.

So, I have a Security Code, so I can sign in here.

It really would be nice of you all if you could help me out here.

The security code on your phone is usually the last 4 digits of your cell number, unless you changed it to something else, the phone your trying to port over was that bought from AT&T or did you buy it from verizon? ATT phones are not compatable with verizon. If it still does not work try calling prepaid customer care at 1-888-294-6804
