HTC Driod force closing

Does anyone have a problem when they try to delete messages as a whole thread that it does not delete and your screen turns black then a message comes up saying something with force close or wait? My phone is messing up someone please help and hopefully someone on here has had this problem

i haven't seen others complaining of this issue unless I missed the thread. Have you tried turning the phone off? Taking the battery out of the phone?

I had this problem when I had my Eris. Try not to have more than 400 messages in any given messaging thread on your Eris. Otherwise, your Eris will lag when you delete said thread, and it will take a very long time, possibly even freeze your phone, like in this case. When you delete threads over 200 messages, give it time.
