lg vortex storage

I keep having the same problem on both of my vortex phones (I have 2 lines). I get low internal memory texts don't send and all that good stuff making the phone basically useless. I have already done a factory reset on my phone once that was in July now I'm back down to 24 MB free. Now my other vortex is doing the same thing with 36 MB free. I've checked different posts and done all the cache clearing repeatedly, no help. I have also checked my largest applications, on both phones it is SNS. I don't know what SNS does exactly so I haven't cleared cache or data in that. What else can I do? I have had nothing but aggravation and headaches with this phone, I really wish I would have never got it.

The problem is that the device only has 158mb of memory storage, have you installed a external storage card? The device supports a 32 Gig card and this was you can install apps to the card to help.

I do have a 2 gb sd card installed, it has 1.84 gb free. I don't have any games or other apps downloaded that weren't already on the phone. Most of the pre-loaded apps I don't use, the things I do use are email, texting, facebook link,weather service and alarm clock. I did download a wallpaper but I moved to my sd card, I don't know what could be taking up so much space.---side note with the facebook link I rarely use when I do it is to look at pictures, no games or chats.

Email size?

Dialer Storage size?

Go to settings > applications > manage applications > all tab > menu > sort by size

My app sizes are sns 79.98 MB,thinkfree office 10.15 MB(never used), market 7.82 MB, bing 6.47 MB(only used in browser and don't use browser often maybe once a month), email 5.96 MB. So I not sure where the problem could lie and why programs I don't use are taking up so much space.

Is there any cache associated with the SNS application? Clear cache is more benign than clearing data.

I wish I knew what SNS is for. That is a huge file to have on the phone.

You might be able to gain a little bit of space by deleting your email account from the Mail application. This will clear out all the deleted emails that like to hang around in the trash folder. After removing the account, you can reboot the phone to clear out any leftover memory.

Clear any cache you might have in the browser, market and bing, games, Google street view

You didn't mention the size of the Dialer Storage app. You might be able to get a few more MB out of clearing the data from it.

I definitely understand your aggravation. Do you only receive the memory low messages when attempting to text? I would like to suggest a few thing to assist you with the device. You can delete cache/data on the SNS application. Per LG sns is Social Networking Services and will delete all the cache/data from your social network applications such as Twitter and Facebook etc. Also, please check your trash in the email application and delete your trash. Some remember to delete the emails to clear space, but forget to delete the trash as well. You can access this by launching the email app>menu>folders>trash>choose email and delete. Once you do so please test and if you still run into the message and are unable to send sms please uncheck the callback number in the message app settings. The person receiving the sms will still see the number the message originated from. You can complete this from your text message inbox>menu>message settings>uncheck call back number power cycle your device and retest.
