Does any one know how to turn off the sound on a samsung stratosphere on power-up?
for mine I turn off the sound and if the sound is off when you turn it off then the activation sound won't happen when you turn it on. that's for mine. it vibrates a little depending on your vibration level but if the sound is loff then the sound doesn't occur at start
You could try pressing the volume down button once the boot animation starts until the sound turns off, I think that works on some phones.
I don't have a solution for you, but if you figure out what might cause the sound to stop, you might share it on the thread here: https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/767355. That's someone who has lost the start-up sound and wants to get it back.
Here's what I do to completely silence the phone. I turn the volume completely down which puts the phone in silent mode. It will still vibrate in silent mode. To totally silence the phone, I go to settings>sound settings>vibrate, and select 'only when not in silent mode'. These settings will hold when the phone is restarted.
settings > sound settings > volume > system volume (bottom) turn all the way down. Hope this helps!
